Valentin Duciel

Valentin Duciel est un réalisateur français de 30ans, basé à Paris, ayant commencé à travailler dans l’image en 2016 en tant que photographe autodidacte. 

Photographiant principalement en argentique et oeuvrant seulement pour des artistes ou des projets personnels par soucis éthique, il persiste dans cette voie là en tant que réalisateur à partir de 2019. Toujours en argentique, il réalise des clips musicaux en Super8 et 16mm sur lesquels il se fait également plasticien en réalisant différents décors, costumes et masques, en travaillant le bois, le papier mâché, les tissus.. qui serviront aux tournages. 

Inspiré par le cinéma de Campion, Jodorowsky, Ashby..,  amateur de promenade et de champignons magiques, il capture parfois des moments de vie hédonistes, errances brutes, teintés d’oisiveté et de plaisirs simples, d’autres fois en explorant et en mettant en scène des univers imaginaires plus psychédéliques.

Valentin Duciel is a 30-year-old French director, based in Paris, who began working in images in 2016 as a self-taught photographer. 

Photographing mainly on film and working only for artists or personal projects out of ethical concerns, he persists in this path as a director from 2019. Still on film, he produces music videos in Super8 and 16mm on which he also works as a visual artist by creating different sets, costumes and masks, working with wood, papier-mâché, fabrics, etc. which will be used for filming. 

Inspired by the cinema of Campion, Jodorowsky, Ashby..., lover of walks and magic mushrooms, he sometimes captures moments of hedonistic life, raw wanderings, tinged with idleness and simple pleasures, other times by exploring and featuring more psychedelic imaginary universes.
